Les Orties "Stinging Nettles"

Overview: The stinging nettle is a herbaceous plant in the genus Urtica in the family Urticaceae that is recognized as a true medicinal plant proven to be useful and effective for centuries. With its broad range in uses it’s a surprise to me why it’s one of nature’s underdog in natural remedies. In certain countries and states that it’s found in, it is abundant and commonly seen as a pest or weed because of its stinging bristle like hairs that irritate the skin. The nettle “Urtica dioica” or in francais Les Orties Is a plant with many healing and botanical properties, it is composed of vitamins A, C, E, B1, B2, B3, and B5, Calcium, iron, tannic acid, Potassium, lecithin, magnesium, manganese, Potassium, Phosphorus, Selenium, Sulfur, Sodium, Zinc, Chlorophyll, and Chlorine. Nettles grow in rich soil and as thus are used as an indicator for fertile land. As of today it’s still used either in fertilizers, insecticides, commercial processing in foods as a preservative and dye or for medicinal uses.
